About this net

On the Saturday in Beijing time, send your callsign and grid to the callsign on duty. An ACK counts as taking part.

The net is run by APRSNET.CN, with no other organiser. OA stands for On Air.

There is no sign-up. When the time comes, send the message to the callsign on duty.

The net runs on Beijing time, Saturday 00:00 to 23:59. Any moment in it counts.

Stations taking part

One line per station, with its grid, path and time.

  • The list is still empty This round has no station yet.

The earlier rounds and the totals are on the data panel.

How to take part

Send a CQ, then one U once the ACK arrives.

  • Callsign on duty
  • Message prefixCNNET
  • StatusTest round
  1. Step one: send the check-in Send CQ CNNET your info to the callsign on duty. Put your own callsign and grid in place of that, as in CQ CNNET BG7XXX from OL62. Add a line of your own after it if you like; it becomes that station's Message line.
  2. Step two: answer after the ACK The duty station answers with an ACK. Send U CNNET after it.
  3. Optional: silent check-in You can also skip the CQ and send CNNET your info straight to the duty station. The ACK counts the same.

Time and regions

The net is counted in Beijing time, Saturday 00:00 to 23:59. Other clocks are below.

  • UTC+9 (Japan, Korea)Saturday 01:00 to Sunday 00:59
  • UTC+5:30 (India)Friday 21:30 to Saturday 21:29
  • UTC-5 (US Eastern)Friday 11:00 to Saturday 10:59

These rows use fixed offsets. Where daylight saving applies, work it out from that week.

Joining over RF

Both paths reach the duty station. RF is better.

The network side is APRS-IS: a phone or a computer connects to a server and sends. The air side is RF: a handheld or a mobile sends the message, nearby stations hear it, and a gateway passes it into the network.

  • Over the network (APRS-IS)Connect to a server and send. No radio needed.
  • Over the air (RF)Send from a handheld or a mobile, then a local digipeater and gateway carry it into the network.

Transmissions need your own callsign and licence, on the frequencies and paths your local rules allow. To set up a gateway, see iGate 细则 (in Chinese).

Message formats and examples

Four lines. Fill in your own callsign.

  • Check-in: the call CQ CNNET your info Put your callsign and grid in place of CQ CNNET BG7XXX from OL62. CNNET is the prefix.
  • Check-in: the answer U CNNET Send this line after the duty station has answered with an ACK.
  • Silent check-in (optional) CNNET your info The same check-in without a CQ. The ACK still counts.
  • A line of your own (optional) CQ CNNET BG7XXX from OL62 hello from the hills Write it after the callsign and the grid; the station carries it as its Message line.

Write the callsign on your licence. Write your grid in the info: a check-in without a grid gets an invalid reply, so send it again with the grid.
